After last year’s closing of Buck Mulligan’s, its owner has returned with a new Irish pub in Birmingham’s Five Points South neighborhood.  Brennan’s–named after Winter’s Irish grandmother–was inspired by his Irish roots, love of food, and desire to bring a pub to the city. Brennan’s is located at 1108 20th St South – between The UPS Store and 3000 Bar.

The restaurant and bar has a stage for live music, a pool table, dart boards, a pinball game, and a lounge area where patrons can relax and enjoy drinks. Winter also added a patio area on the side of the building, in the alleyway next to The UPS Store.

The menu is similar to Buck Mulligan’s, printed newspaper-style with entrees ranging from $10.99 to $15.49. Many items from the former pub’s restaurant are on Brennan’s menu, but there are some new items, too. Winter said the menu will be changing slightly after St. Patrick’s Day.
